I’ve been leasing for about a year and a half and within that time I have created a pretty cool portfolio of all my creative colors.  This client found me online and checked out my facebook page.  When Carrie and I first met she had about three inches of growout, her natural color being grey and the rest was an overall color mixture of faded purple and pinks.  Her hair had been overly bleached leaving the integrity compromised and fragile.  Because of this I was not going to bleach her hair out anymore.  Most fashion colors such as purple, pink, blue, yellow, and green are semi-permanent which means that they do not penetrate the hairshaft and will have a tendency of fading quicker.  With overly processed hair the fading happens much sooner.  Because of this I made sure to let Carrie know that it may take a few times for the color to hold longer.

Even though Carrie’s hair was overprocessed it was probably one of the easiest corrective colors that I have ever done.  For her first visit I covered her hair with a level 4 violet/red permanent and fused it down with Pravana semi-permanent purple.  We then made her next appointment 8 weeks out.

The pictures above is Carrie’s second visit.  When she came in the this time I did the same formula for her roots, but for the midshaft to ends I decided to change it up.  I used a demi-permanent level 5/6 with a violet/red.  The result was much more vibrant!  I then booked Carrie’s next appointment 6 weeks out. Listed below is the formula that I used.

Roots:  Framesi 3.66 + 4.0 + 20vol.
Ends:  6.6 + 5.56 + Mixcolor

Shampoo and Conditioner:  Kevin Murphy Angel Wash and Rinse
Styling:  Kevin Murphy Smooth Again and Beach Spray
